Sensational Snapshots

In 2/3OJ, we have been writing snapshots, a form of descriptive writing that captures a moment in time. Here are some of them:
Gary could see smoke steaming out of the tall building after the plane had blasted into its side. He could taste the warm dust and smoke on his tongue and smell the burning flesh in the plane. Smoke and rubble were everywhere.

Lewis felt scared as he dropped out of the helicopter, hearing the blades thumping above him. it was his first rescue. He could smell the salt and then the icy touch of the water as he plunged feet first into the blue sea.

Damien can hear a crash. It was a large, white plane with flames and people screaming for help. He could smell thick, grey smoke.
